What is Yoga
Yoga means union-Union of your body, mind and soul. 
And how the breath is related to yoga? 
Breathing is the basic foundation of our yoga practice. Inhalation and exhalation.
 “THREE PART BREATH" which are Abdomen-Diaphragm-Chest  
Breathing techniques are:-
Inhale through the nose - Completely fill your lungs with air - Breathe into your belly, rib cage and upper chest - Exhale through the nose - Completely empty your lungs with air - Reverse the flow from your belly, rib cage and upper chest 



 
As we are discussing the beginning of yoga. We will be more discussing the journey stepwise, slow and steady. 

Breathing Yoga

Human's existence is based on breathing. Breathing is the most common and basic processes of living. 
And undoubtedly,  most humans breathe incorrectly. They use their lungs' capacity not fully and hence they get tired easily. 
So firstly we all should breathe like we smell flowers or doing anything that we love the most.

NOW we will go deep into the breathing yoga and how to practice our breathing more efficiently through some breathing yoga asanas. 

PRANAYAMA
Pranayama is the utmost learning in the journey of yoga. 
Pranayama is the vital energy, we also call it as life energy. 
Prana, one's vital energy, determines the function of one’s entire system. 
Every cell in our body needs oxygen to perform functions in our body. That’s why we all need to breathe properly to make our body to function at it’s best. 
So Pranayama teaches us & makes us learn the right way to breathe with life. Breathing in yoga, we call it as Pranayama

So now, we will discuss the different forms of Pranayama yoga 

*Anuloma Viloma* 
Anuloma Viloma is an alternative nostril breathing. 
Take breathe from left nostril and release from right, again take breathe from right nostril and release from left. This is known as alternative breathing. Always remember to hold your breath in each nostril breathing. Practice 2:8:4 ratio to complete one cycle. At least 10 rounds make a good difference at once in your breathing.


 
What it does to our body? 
Practicing on regular basis of Anuloma viloma
you are building vital energy in your body. 
It cleanses and strengthens your lungs and beneficial to respiratory system. Anuloma Viloma eliminates the three doshas of our body Vata, Pitta and Kapha.
Boosts your immune system by balancing all doshas
Also eliminates depression, anxiety ,unwanted stress. Rejuvenates your cells and calms your mind in no time. 
Blood circulation keeps our body in system. 
Blood circulation is the life to our body. 
Anuloma Viloma Pranayama practice open the blockages and circulate the blood more and better. 
Anuloma, inhale positive energy. 
Viloma, exhale negative energy.


Above we discussed about nostril breathing.. 
NOW we will learn about Ocean Breathing Pranayama named as 

*UJJAYI PRANAYAMA*
Ujjayi means victory and Prana is vital energy. 

“Victorious Energy“ or “Victorious Breathing" 

As named Ocean Breathing, it is referred to create an ocean sound while breathing. Ujjayi Pranayama is a breathing technique that helps in calming the mind and body.


 ๐“๐‡๐„ ๐…๐ˆ๐‘๐’๐“ ๐€๐‚๐“ ๐Ž๐… ๐‹๐ˆ๐…๐„ ๐ข๐ฌ ๐›๐ซ๐ž๐š๐ญ๐ก๐ข๐ง๐  ๐“๐‡๐„ ๐‹๐€๐’๐“ ๐€๐‚๐“ ๐Ž๐… ๐‹๐ˆ๐…๐„ ๐ข๐ฌ ๐›๐ซ๐ž๐š๐ญ๐ก๐ข๐ง๐ 


 Practicing Ujjayi Pranayama, one can attain enormous amount of freedom from all bondages. Bondages of pain, anxiety, imbalance doshas in our body.
Ujjayi Pranayama is the solution to most of the respiratory problems.




 What it does to our body?
 It is the process in which lungs are fully expanding, and chest puffed out. What exactly Ocean Breathing does is that the epiglottis is partially closed and from the partially open epiglottis the inhaling and exhaling of breathing occurs. Thereby increasing the lung capacity. Our exhalation capacity becomes much much better practicing this Ocean Breathing. Sleep apnea is the most common sleep disorder in adults in which a person repeatedly stops breathing when asleep. Ujjayi Pranayama not only eliminates this disorder but also relaxes your mind while sleeping. Thyroid, which is the most common problem of obesity in today’s sedentary lifestyle. Ujjayi Pranayama cures thyroid problems. Asthma, in medical science there is no cure for this breathing disorder. Ocean Breathing treats asthma disorders effectively. There are enormous benefits of Ujjayi Pranayama for all the breathing difficulties.


Ujjayi Pranayama is a simple and subtle process. Practice daily at least 5 sessions of Ujjayi Pranayama in the beginning. And later on, gradually increase it every week.

Our next breathing pranayama is based on Skull Breathing. 

*Kapalabhati Pranayama*

Kapala means Skull Bhati means Shine 

Kapalbhati referred to as “Skull Shining Breathing”

Kapalabhati Pranayama. Kapalbhati also called breath of fire. As named “ Skull Shining Breathing” Kapalbhati is said to improve mental health and intellect. 

Kapalbhati Pranayama has numerous benefits for your body and mind. Regular practicing of Kapalabhati Pranayama strengthens the diaphragm and abdominal muscles. Kapalabhati Pranayama increases your body’s oxygen supply which stimulates and energizes the brain and preparing it for meditation. 

๐Š๐š๐ฉ๐š๐ฅ๐š๐›๐ก๐š๐ญ๐ข ๐๐ซ๐š๐ง๐š๐ฒ๐š๐ฆ๐š ๐ข๐ฌ ๐ญ๐ก๐ž ๐ฆ๐ž๐ญ๐ก๐จ๐ ๐ญ๐จ ๐ž๐ฑ๐ก๐š๐ฅ๐ž ๐ฒ๐จ๐ฎ๐ซ ๐›๐ซ๐ž๐š๐ญ๐ก. 

In Kapalbhati Pranayama, there is active exhalation and inhalation is passive. There is no forceful breathing in Kapalbhati Pranayama. There is only focus on the stomach and abdomen and that is why the exhalation is primarily on the stomach not on the chest area. It is stomach exhalation.




 What it does to our body?
 Kapalabhati Pranayama is a warming exhalation breathing technique. It thoroughly cleanses the lungs, sinuses and respiratory system. Practicing Kapalbhati Pranayama, 80% to 90% of the toxins in our body are released through exhalation. Inhalation of breathing is natural in Kapalbhati Pranayama

Now We will discuss the benefits of Kapalbhati Pranayama:- Regular Practicing aids in belly fat. Kapalbhati Pranayama helps in removing blockages in the heart and lungs and increasing capacity. Increases energy levels in the body. Also, cure insomnia. Slows down the body aging process. Blood circulation is the most important function in our body. Kapalbhati Pranayama proves beneficial in the circulation of blood in our body.

The next breathing technique is 

*Bhastrika Pranayama* 

Bhastrika means ‘Bellows of Blacksmith' 
Bhastrika Pranayama also knowns as Bellows Breath and Breath of Fire.
There is forceful breathing in and breathing out.  
 
๐๐‡๐€๐’๐“๐‘๐ˆ๐Š๐€ ๐๐‘๐€๐๐€๐˜๐€๐Œ๐€ ๐ˆ๐’ ๐“๐‡๐„ ๐„๐๐„๐‘๐†๐˜ ๐๐Ž๐Ž๐’๐“๐„๐‘.  
 
Bhastrika Pranayama is known to produce heat in the body. In Bhastrika Pranayama there is only focus on chest inhalation and exhalation. A forceful inhalation and exhalation breathing technique. At least start with 20 breaths of Bhastrika Pranayama at once.  
 
๐ˆ๐ง๐ก๐š๐ฅ๐ž, ๐ญ๐ก๐ž๐ง ๐ž๐ฑ๐ก๐š๐ฅ๐ž. ๐“๐ก๐š๐ญ’๐ฌ ๐ก๐จ๐ฐ ๐ฒ๐จ๐ฎ ๐ฐ๐ข๐ฅ๐ฅ ๐ ๐ž๐ญ ๐ญ๐ก๐ซ๐จ๐ฎ๐ ๐ก ๐ข๐ญ.



 
What It does to our body?
Practicing 'Bellows Breathing' regularly removes blockages from the nose and chest. Bhastrika Pranayama increases the gastric fire in the body. Bhastrika Pranayama improves digestion and appetite. In this Pranayama, when inhaling forcefully, there is a lot of oxygen in the lungs which helps in purifying the blood. And this balances Vata, Pitta and Kapha doshas.  
The best advantage of Bhastrika Pranayama is that it makes lungs strong, more oxygen reaches inside the body, more healthy the body remains. 
Bhastrika Pranayama awakens the kundalini quickly. Just as the blacksmith blows. It is really good for brain oxygenation. 
 
The next and last breathing technique we are about to learn is 

Bhramari Pranayama 
Also known as Bee Breathing. 
 
The Bhramari Pranayama breathing technique derives its name from the black Indian Bee called Bhramari. This Pranayama is effective in instantly calming down the mind. 
Bee breathing is one of the best breathing techniques to free the mind from frustration, agitation, anxiety. 
The exhalation resembles in bee breathing is the humming sound of a bee. At least practice for 6 -7 times at once.  




What it does to your body? 
Practicing Bee Breathing calms the mind instantly. This breathing technique is a boon for those with hypertension. Gives instant relief from anger and anxiety. It helps mitigate migraines. 
It also builds confidence and benefits improving concentration and memory.

Bee breathing Is one the best breathing technique for anger management.
