Most Effective Ways To Overcome Commitment Problems in life
Commitment
How will you describe commitment if you are asked to?Most of us will say commitment means trying hard or making a lot of attempts or sticking to the decision which we made.
It is true but this is not what exactly commitment means.
There is a book named “Ultimate secret to getting absolutely everything you want” by Mike Hernacki.
According to the book, the key to getting what you want is “willingness to do whatever it takes”.
Willingness is a mental attitude which says
If it takes 10, 50 or even 100 steps to reach my goal, I'll take all the necessary steps.
Of course, in the beginning, you usually won’t know exactly how many steps will be required to reach your goal. This doesn’t matter. If you want success, you have to make a commitment to do whatever it takes- regardless of the number of steps involves.
When you started being committed towards your goal, your dream, and you ready to face every difficulty that comes your way; you will start to attract people and circumstances that are necessary to complete your goal. Doors will unexpectedly open for you. You’ll meet people you never planned to meet. These resources are always around you, they do not appear suddenly. It’s just that you were never committed to them. Once you become committed you create an image in your mind of what it takes to achieve that goal and that image acts like a magnet and attracts resources. It’s just that you have to be very attentive and active and you must seize every opportunity that comes your way.
Life is a bed of roses, so if there are soft petals there are thorns too.
You should never get too excited about waltzing easily towards your goals. Even if you are committed, you will face problems. Obstacles will arise. You will make mistakes, suffer disappointments, and setbacks. Life will test you to see how serious you are about the commitment you made. Some of the problems can have severe effects and will lead you to a situation when you would want to abandon your goal. That will be the most crucial stage of your life. At that moment you have to remind yourself that you only become a champion by fighting one more round. You become a champion by challenging your own self. And if you have made a commitment, you should fight these temporary battles for permanent triumph.
After you have made a commitment ask yourself, “Am I willing to do whatever it takes to accomplish my goal?”
If your answer is, “I’ll do everything it takes except I won’t do this or that”
Then, to be honest you are not committed!
Of course, you should make a timetable, plans, and strategies. You should have a deadline too so that you can succeed as soon as possible.
But the reality is, despite your plans and strategies, you never know how many obstacles will come your way and you can’t foresee them.
"That is where commitment separates winners from losers"
Those who are committed will hang on and fight one more battle of their life.
So make a commitment and do whatever it takes to achieve your goal.
“ONE PERSON WITH A COMMITMENT IS WORTH MORE THAN 100 PEOPLE WHO ONLY HAVE INTEREST”
